BC Patch Company makes a great breast pocket patch for Lipan for about $6 (price subject to change) plus 50 cents S&H. BC is a small company in Oakley California run by everyday folks and they do a bangup job. They also have created (and are still creating) patches for other salvage vessels for those who would like other patches. They make a great collector's item and display wonderfully.

We had the patch when I was aboard in the mid to late 1960's. Incidentally the words at top of the patch are latin "Pauca Sed Fortissima" and mean "Small But Mighty". Shipmate Jim Clayborn (Lipan 1958 1960) wrote me to explain: "I have an original one! We had them done up in Japan on our 1959 tour. The CO at the time was LCDR Backstrom and I believe he was the one responsible for getting them done and coming up with the logo and design."
Its only $6 for a great patch and they only charge 50 cents for shipping & handling (25 cents for every extra patch ordered). The patch is about 4 or 5 inches wide and the same in height. For ordering information see below.
