On the left is an AFDB which is a floating drydock. Lipan

towed it from Pearl to the Western Pacific in 1952, towing

two sections while the USS Cree ATF 84 assisted, towing

two sections as well.

On the right is theUSS Cree ATF 84 which assisted Lipan in the towing

of the AFDB shown in the above photo .  The photo was taken in

Agana Harbor on the island of Guam circa 1952.

The photo on the left appears to be some inhabitants of the

island of Sonsoral who paddled out in their canoe to barter

with Lipan crew memebrs.

The photo on the right was taken off the island of Sonsoral in the Palau

Island Group which is southwest of Guam.  Lipan was in the area policing

Japanese fishing boats that were illegally fishing for tuna in the Trust

Territories.

On the left is two of the three Lipan crewmembers who went

ashore to the Island Warden's house on the island of Sonsoral

in the Palau Islands.  Bill Derouin, in the sun glasses, said,

"We dined on fish heads and rice but I had to pass on the fish

eyeballs. However, the Saki was great."

On the right is a shot Lipan circa 1952 taken in Agana Harbor on the

Island of Guam.  Note that Lipan was dressed-out with flags running from

the bow, up over the masts, to the stern.
